25 Sawan, Kathmandu: The main opposition Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that his party was the champion to raise the issues of inclusiveness and rights of ethnic communities in the country.
Deuba also said that his party respects cultural, religious and linguistics diversities of the Nepali society, which he said are the pillars of our nationality. While extending the best wishes on the occasion of International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples today, President Deuba shared that NC had adopted the policy of recognizing the identities of all.
He also extended best wishes for social harmony among the people from different communities. The Day is observed on 9 August each year to raise awareness and protect the rights of the indigenous people.
