Jitpur: Leaders of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party have been arrested from various parts of the country, after the government put a ban on the violent activities of the party. Accordingly, four district-level leaders were arrested from Kapilvastu.
According to SP at the district police office, Kapilvastu, Achyutam Prasad Pudasaini, Shyam Das Pasi and Raj Mangal Tharu were arrested from Banaganga municipality. And Durga Lal Khatri was arrested from Shivagadhi and Yubaraj Neupane from Kapilvastu.
Also on Tuesday, Shiva Dhital of Jhapa and Bishal Tamang of Sindhupalchowk were arrested following an exchange of fire at Kalfaldanda of Kavre district. The cross fire took place between the two sides after police carried out a raid in their hideout in course of searching for those involved in the bomb blasts that took place in Kathmandu recently, according to information officer at the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, SP Somendra Singh Rathour.
