NC condemns police interference in peaceful demonstration

Kathmandu, March 5 : The main opposition Nepali Congress has condemned the police interference
in a peaceful demonstration of teachers working in the status of relief quota.

Teachers were injured in a clash with police during demonstration at New Baneshwar in the capital city on Monday.
NC Chief Whip Balkrishna Khand issued a press release today, stating that such interference of the police in the peaceful agitation curtailed the constitutionally guaranteed right to protest.
He has also urged the government to address the genuine demands of agitating teachers.
