Kathmandu: Chandi Prasad Aryal has been reelected Chair of Readymade Garment Industry Association of Nepal. The 26th annual general meeting of the Association appointed a 11-member new executive led by Aryal.
Iman Singh Lama is the first Vice-chair, Bhupendra Kumar Basnet the second Vice-chair, Ashok Kumar Agrawal the General Secretary, Pashupati Dev Pandey the Joint-secretary and Sanjaya Kumar Sarraf the Treasurer. The committee has been elected for a two-year term.
The AGM concluded with a decision to call upon the authorities concerned give cash grant to industries related to export, also including concessional loan, rebate in income tax, integrated tax system, promoting and marketing such industries and adopting a policy to promote development of raw materials in the country, according to the newly elected chair Aryal.
