Kathmandu, Feb 4 : Dr Rajan Bhattarai, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, has stated that the opinion expressed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Venezuela's state-of-affairs was the official statement of the government of Nepal.
At an event organized by the Sambad Chautari today, Bhattarai said that it was evident from the past that the incumbent government adhered to the principle of the United Nation’s charter, Panchashila and the non-aligned movement, and said that Nepal’s foreign policy had not marred the Nepal-US friendly ties.
He said that the government of Nepal was clear that the political crisis facing the sovereign country like Venezuela should be resolved by the people there themselves.
Furthermore, the political advisor also said that American government had been extending its support in various sectors in Nepal including education, energy and other development projects and Nepal and USA ties will not affect any issues.
