Kathmandu : Nepal Academy is to extend the term of the book exhibition to one month from 15 days following the increasing number of people visiting the expo.
According to the Academy, the expo was organised from National Unity Day on January 11 till January 14, and it has been extended to January 29.
Expo Manager Sudhir Dhungel said that the number of people visiting the expo and buying books is very high as per the expectation. The expo has been making transaction worth Rs 25,000 every day.
He said, “Our publications are investigative and information-oriented.” The Academy has made the arrangement of 15-60 per cent discount on the books kept in the expo.
The books ranging from the price of Rs 2 to Rs 1, 400, have been kept on display in the expo. The Academy organises the book expo every year on the occasion of National Unity Day.
