Kathmandu : Nepal is facing host Thailand in the final of the Women’s T20 Smash Cricket tournament today.
The match between Nepal and Thailand is scheduled to begin at 12:15 NST this afternoon. Nepal remains undefeated in the tournament so far.
Nepal defeated Indonesia by 92 runs in the semi-final held on Friday to book a place in the final. Thailand also remains undefeated and had defeated the UAE in the semi-final.
It is the first time in 12 years that Nepal is playing a final of a knock-out tournament. Nepal started playing international tournament in 2007.
The Nepali women’s cricket team is currently coached by former National Cricket Team captain Binod Das, who is also the coach of the U-19 men’s cricket team of the country.
