NC vows to move ahead on unison

Kathmandu, Dec 15 : The Mahasamiti meet of the Nepali Congress, which is observed as an important political event, has begun in the capital today.

In the inaugural ceremony of the conclave, NC leaders pledged to take ahead the party on unison.
Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, among other leaders demonstrated a gesture of unity and imparted a message by holding hands together.
At a time when there was public criticism on widening rift between the two leaders, Vice-President Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar had called on President Deuba and senior leader Poudel to give a message of unity by holding hands together.
The proposal of Gachchhadar was applauded by the cadres present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, President Deuba expressed readiness to move ahead the party by accommodating all leaders.
He also urged the party cadres to return to the district with the message of party unity
Also speaking on the occasion, senior leader Poudel stressed the need to unite party at policy level rather than on speech. He also urged the party colleagues to keep words in action.
Also speaking on the occasion were Vice-President Gachchhadar and Bimalendra Nidhi, general-secretary dio Dr Sashank Koirala and Purna Bahadur Khadka, treasurer Sita Devi Yadav, joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, central members Chitralekha Yadav, Gopalman Shrestha, Prakash Man Singh, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Kul Bahadur Gurung and Biswo Prakash Sharma among others.
