Kathmandu, Dec 5: Ten central members of the party put forth their views on the proposed amendment of the statute in the ongoing central committee meeting of the Nepali Congress.
In the meeting on Tuesday, central members NP Saud, Dhanaraj Gurung, Gagan Kumar Thapa, Gobind Bhattarai, Gururaj Ghimire, Laxmi Pariyar, Ananda Dhungana, Chinkaji Shrestha and invitee members Narendra Kumar Chaudhary and Rama Koirala put forth their views.
The party has prepared the statute amendment proposal based on the changed context of federalism.
Coordinator of the statute amendment draft committee and general secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka had presented the proposed amendment draft in the central committee meeting on November 25.
The central members putting forth their views underscored the need to make much revision in the statute.
The central committee meeting is dwelling on continuously on the draft amendment of the party statute for five days.
The meeting will be held Today too.
