Kathmandu, Nov 28 : The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal has formed a talks committee to address the demands of the labour associations.
The committee is led by TAAN Chair Nawaraj Dahal. Accordingly, the TAAN has appealed to all sides concerned to resolve the problem through a dialogue, as padlocking was not the solution to the problem.
It may be noted that various labour unions active in the tourism sector have been agitating and have padlocked the TAAN Secretariat since November 26, demanding increase in facilities as per agreed terms.
Chair Dahal has also appealed to the workers to strengthen the collaboration between TAAN and workers and work together for development and promotion of tourism.
