Party president’s role not satisfactory: Prakashman Singh

Rupandehi, Nov 21 : Nepali Congress leader Prakashman Singh has said the party president 
failed to run the party as per the party’s statute.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union, Rupandehi here today, party’s former general secretary accused party President Sher Bahadur Deuba of running the party on the back support of majority going against the statute. He was of the view that one had the right to act breaching the statute which had no provision of two vice presidents. “The present party leadership role is not satisfactory and it could not lead the party in accordance with the visions of BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai.” He stressed on the need of a fresh leadership capable of operating the party through a due process.
He also accused the incumbent government of not being in favour of institutionalising federalism.
