Kathmandu, Sept 20 : Vice-Chair of the National Institution for Transforming India or NITI Aayog Dr Rajiv Kumar has said dynamic political leadership and strong determination and dedication for nation building and progress will lead to prosperity.
Speaking at a public lecture on ‘Nepal, India and the Neighbourhood: The promise of Economic Reforms, Innovation and Connectivity’ organised by the Institute for Integrated Development Studies, KU and the Barbara Foundation in the capital on Thursday, he said that it was the strong will power and determination of the political leadership to address the development aspirations of the people that has led to socio-economic growth in India in the past four years.
Executive Director of IIDS Bishnu Dev Pant said Nepal has not been able to benefit from the economic strides taken by its neighbour India, and that additional support of India was essential for Nepal.
Kathmandu University Vice-chancellor Ramkantha Majaku said it is through the development of education that a country can take strides in development and hence education should also be equally stressed.
