National flag hoisting ceremony on Constitution Day

Kathmandu, Sept 19 : Youth wings of the ruling party today jointly raised a 100 meters-long 
national flag on the occasion of the Constitution Day.

The flag hoisting ceremony was organised at Maitighar Mandala in the Capital by the Youth Association Nepal, youth wing of the then ruling CPN-UML, and the Young Communist League associated with the then CPN (Maoist Center). The flag raising aims to strengthen nationality, sovereignty and self-dignity of the Nepali people, said the organisers.
The speakers at the event stressed the need for effectively implementing employment generation policies and programmes put forwarded by the incumbent government.
Similarly, it was stressed that all political parties should move ahead together in economic, social and cultural transformation by resolving weakness through mutual discussion.
Chairperson of Youth Association Nepal, Ramesh Poudel, said all political parties, intellectuals and people should involve in implementation of the constitution.
Saying the constitution has incorporated sentiments of all Nepalis including women, Dalits, marginalized and backward communities, YCL Nepal Chair Ram Prasad Sapkota said rumor should not be spread through wrong publicity of the constitution.
