Tendency against party unity, treachery to party: NC President Deuba

Nepalgunj, Sept 10 : Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has termed the tendency against party unity as a betrayal to the party, while emphasising on collective efforts to overcome this malpractice. It was against the system established by the party late leader BP Koirala within the party.
“The party is messed up now. Lack of disciplinary practices and pervasiveness self-centered attitude are taking over. I do not keep quite. None will be spared if found involved in such misconducts,” he said, pledging to come up with a drive against it. He said this while inaugurating an interaction on ‘leadership development and collective bargaining’ held today here on the occasion of the 105th Birth Anniversary of B.P. Koirala.
Admitting errors within from the party leadership in the Congress electoral defeats, he said, “We all are responsible for the loss, not outsiders.” The former Prime Minister also accused the incumbent government of plotting to dismantle all types of structures of the country.
At the event organised by the Nepal Trade Union, NC Banke, NC’s General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala and central member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat among others are scheduled to train the participants.
