Kathmandu, Aug 24 : The central committee meeting of the main opposition Nepali Congress which was set for Friday is rescheduled to take place on Saturday.
The meeting is to be held at 11.00 am tomorrow after top leaders including President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ramchandra Poudel reached a consensus today on the preparation of Mahasamiti meet of the party and formation of other committees.
NC central committee member Dilendra Prasad Badu shared that the meeting has been reset for tomorrow once the senior leaders agreed on the issues of formation of different committees and preparation of Mahasamiti meet.
Mainly the top leaders had dwelt on the agenda of fixing venue and date for the Mahasamiti meet and formation of performance and disciplinary committee of the party, he informed.
“Though most of the contentious issues were discussed and settled there are still some to be finalized”, he added. —
