Lahan, Aug 9 : A gang of looters absconded after robbing a man of Rs 2.5 million at gunpoint from Tingachhiya of Mirchaiya Municipality-3 in Siraha district on Thursday, police said.
Raja Ram Saha of a money transfer company was robbed at gunpoint by a gang of looters who came in two motorcycles while Saha was heading to this money transfer office in Kalyanpur Municipality. He had collected the amount from Global IME Bank in Mirchaiya.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Dipendra Saha said the victim was travelling by a motorcycle to his money transfer company after collecting the money. Police said that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
