Policy and law amendment to continue for IT development-Minister Baskota

Kathmandu, July 3 : Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has said that the government would amend necessary policy and laws and promote investment and incentives for the advancement and promotion of IT industry.

The Minister said this at an interaction ‘promotion of trade based on information and communication technology’ organized here today by the Ministry.

He said that the government would move ahead in collaboration with the private sector for the development of information technology.

On the occasion, Ministry’s Secretary Mahendra Man Gurung also echoed the Minister’s remarks on partnering with private sector for the advancement of information technology.

Ministry’s Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Ramchandra Dhakal shared that the discussion was on how to promote IT industry in Nepal in the presence of Secretary, Joint Secretaries and high-ranking officials of the Ministry.
