Butwal : Chief Minister of Province 5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said that disaster management fund should be mobilised through one-door system.
Inaugurating the disaster safety seminar at Manigram in Rupandehi today, CM Pokhrel said that disaster management would be effective only if carried out by a single body.
“All the bodies of the government and concerned organisations should involve in rescue, relief and rehabilitation in case of a disaster for the sake of humanity.”
Similarly, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province 5, Kul Prasad KC, directed to adopt preparedness for natural disasters as monsoon starts.
He also urged the Chief District Officers and chiefs of security bodies to prepare strategy of preparedness to help in rescue and relief distribution in case of a disaster.
Minister KC informed that the provincial government has made arrangement for a fund of Rs 60 million for disaster management.
Chief District officers and chiefs of security bodies of 12 districts of the province had participated in the one-day seminar organised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.
