Biratnagar, June 17 : Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsing KC has blamed the present government that it was guided by authoritarian thoughts.
During a programme organized by Nepal Press Union Morang Chapter here today, leader KC said closing television programme merely because of facing question and taking under the NC cadres from party office for protesting price hike were the example of authoritarian practice.
The central member of the party pointed out the need that Nepali Congress needs to hold general convention by amending the party statute.
In the presidential system, authority is concentrated in one person, thereby increasing the likelihood of dictatorial practice. Therefore, parliamentary system is the democratic system and it is appropriate for Nepal, he underscored.
