Butwal, Rupandehi, June 11 : Chief of Province 5 Umakanta Jha today certified the ‘Bill Related to Provisions of Facilities to the Office Bearers and Members of Local Level’.
The bill verification is in line with Article 201 (2) of the Constitution, according to a statement issued by Secretary of the Office of Chief of the Province, Sanat Kumar Dawadi.
The Bill was endorsed by the Province Assembly earlier on May 30. According to the Bill enacted, chief of District Coordination Committee (DCC) of the Province-5 will receive monthly remuneration of Rs 41,000 while deputy chair will get Rs 36,000 and member each Rs 16,000.
Likewise, mayor of sub-metropolis will entitle to receive Rs 40,000, deputy mayor Rs 35,000, ward chair Rs 26,000, executive member Rs 15,000 and ward member Rs 9,000.
Similarly, municipality mayor will get Rs 35,000, deputy mayor Rs 30,000, ward chairperson Rs 25,000, executive member Rs 13,000 and member Rs 8,000.
With the enactment, chief of Rural Municipality will draw monthly remuneration of Rs 30,000, vice-chairperson Rs 27,000, ward chairperson Rs 20,000, executive member Rs 12,000 and member Rs 7,000.
Besides the monthly salary, the elected people’s representatives at local level will also receive certain allowances.
