Kathmandu, June 6 : A new party, Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), which was formed after merger between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre), has been registered at the Election Commission of Nepal today.
EC’s Legal Officer Arun Kumar Jha shared that a meeting of the EC committee meeting held today took the decision to register the Communist Party which was merged into one from the integration of two communist parties.
The newly-formed party had submitted an application for the registration of the new party to the EC for the registration of the party on May 17.
