NAC hikes Kathmandu – Taplejung flight fare

Taplejung, June 2 : The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has hiked the fares for Kathmandu – Taplejung flights.

The NAC increased the price by Rs 1,865 in the exiting rate of Rs 5,330 to make it Rs 7,195, according to NAC’s Taplejung In – charge, Bikash Rai. The sudden increase of the rate came into effect on May 30.

The NAC’s regular flights from Taplejung’s Suketar airport on every Wednesdays and Fridays to Kathmandu has remained stalled since May 22. The flights which were stalled on technical grounds will resume from June 6.

The flights will continue into the monsoon season unlike in the past years when flights were stalled for three months citing rainy and adverse weather conditions. The runway of the airport has been blacktopped making it easier for landing during monsoon season.
