Kathmandu, May 29 : The government has approved the estimated income and expenditure for the coming fiscal year 2018/19.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers convened at Singha Durbar today also decided to table the budget including the annual estimates of income and expenditure in both Houses of the Federal Parliament this evening, according to Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota.
The government is presenting the annual budget and policies and programmes in the parliament for the first time today after the federalism came into effect.
As per the schedule determined by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada will table a copy of the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for fiscal year 2018/19 in the second session of the parliament today.
Finance Minister Khatiwada is also presenting the Appropriation Bill-2075, the Fiscal Procedures Bill-2075 and the Bill on Mobilising National Loan – 2075 in the parliament meeting today.
