Tehrathum, May 28 : A 44 – year – old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for raping a 15 – year – old girl.
District Court Tehrathum handed out the sentence to Surya Bahadur Sarki of Laliguransh municipality – 2 on Sunday.
A single bench led by Justice Narayan Prasad Parajuli slapped a sentence of seven years and a fine of Rs 90,000.
He was convicted of repeatedly raping the teenager who is related to him and had been living at his residence. He was arrested last year in May following a complaint.
