Kathmandu, May 27 : Any civil servant who has applied for the voluntary retirement scheme, earlier announced by the government, can withdraw his/her name.
The meeting today of the Council of Ministers held at the PM’s Baluwatar residence decided to allow civil servants to withdraw from VRS, if they wish to do so, according to Minister of State of Information and Communications Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota.
The meeting decided to thank the MPs who help endorse unanimously the policy and programme tabled by the government in the federal parliament for the fiscal year 2075/76. Likewise, a decision was taken to establish a national prize in the name of renowned litterateur Gopal Prasad Rimal.
The cabinet decided to renew the labor agreement reached with the government of the Republic of Korea and endorse the Labour regulations, 2075 B.S. Likewise, the government decided to give a financial assistance of Rs. One million each to the family of the four police persons who died while removing landslide debris in a place called Charkilo in ward no. 6 of Ichhyakamana rural municipality of Chitwan on July 23, 2017.
The meeting today also agreed in principle to allow formulation of the bill related to right to education and federal education bill, government spokesperson Banskota said.
