NC concerned of breach of parliamentary code

Kathmandu, May 22 : The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has expressed its serious concern over the breach of code during the unveiling of the government’s policy and programme at parliament on Monday.
NC drew its serious attention for not properly addressing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairperson of the National Assembly.
A meeting of the NC parliamentary party held on Tuesday commented that the government’s policy and programme was like a party manifesto and the government has failed to come up with clear roadmap of a year.
The meeting presided over by NC President and parliamentary party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba concluded that the policy and programme has ignored the commitments to institutionalize democratic republic and reach out the government services and facilities to the doorsteps of the people.
The party has drawn a conclusion that the government has also failed to bring robust plan to enable local and provincial governments and did not lay emphasis on actions to fulfill people’s aspiration for prosperity.
