Mugu, May 3 : A remote rural village of Mugu district has turned into ashes due to massive fire since 9.00 this morning.
The fire that broke out at Mugum Karmarong rural municipality-4, Kimi village gutted 17 houses. It takes a daylong walk to reach the village from the district headquarters.
According to fire survivor Chhiring Lama, the inferno destroyed houses located in the upper row of the village along with grains, clothes and cash. The fire has totally destroyed the house of Lama.
The District Administration Office (DAO) confirmed that the fire destroyed 17 houses of locals. Details of the loss are yet to be reported since it is being delayed for no easy communication network.
The fire that took place since 9.00 was brought under control at 3.00 pm.
