34 in police custody including activist Pahadi

Kathmandu : Police held altogether 34 activists staging a sit-in in front of the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Saturday.
The rights activists of the Human Rights and Peace Society staged the agitation for promotion of goodwill and calling an end to violence, hatred and impunity.
The Society organizes such demonstration on Chaitra 17 every year.
The Society staged the agitation stating that the government was preparing to withdraw the case against alleged of the Tikapur carnage.
Founder President of the Society Krishna Pahadi, President Dr Gangadhar Adhikari, advisor Homkant Chaulagain, founder member Krishna Kandel and others were held and have been kept in Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, according to the Society.
