Banepa : Social workers Jagannath KC and Padma KC of Banepa Municipality-12 have donated one ropani and four ana of land plot for the building of Mahendra Jyoti Health Post in Kavre district.
According to the local residents, the market value of the land is around 5 million rupees. They donated the land through the Nepal Red Cross Society Kavre Chapter for building the physical infrastructures of the health post. In the land plot, the Korean Red Cross Society has helped construct a pre-fab building and the quarters for health workers. Likewise, it has also provided health-related equipments.
Central President of Nepal Red Cross Society Sanjaya Thapa handed over the newly-constructed building to the Mayor of Banepa Municipality Laxmi Narsingh Bade Shrestha at a programme recently.
On the occasion, the land donors were felicitated. During the event, Jagannath KC said that providing land for the humanitarian services was the matter of pride for him.
The health post is operating lab test, birthing and dental services soon.
