Bhandari elected Nepal’s President again

Kathmandu : Bidya Devi Bhandari has been re-elected the President of Nepal.
Election Officer Til Prasad Shrestha informed that Bhandari was elected President, securing 39,275 votes, while her contender from Nepali Congress Kumari Laxmi Rai got 11,730 votes.
Three votes under the federal parliament were invalid while five under the provincial parliament.
Out of 331 voters in federal parliament, 326 took part in voting, while 536 out of 549 in provincial parliament voted in the election.
