Kathmandu : The Consulate General of Nepal in New York organised the ‘Destination Nepal’ programme in New York, USA recently with the objective of promoting tourism in Nepal.
American and Nepali tourism entrepreneurs in New York and adjoining states participated in the programme.
On the occasion, Consul General Madhu Kumar Marasini said there was much possibility in the tourism sector in Nepal, urging the tourism entrepreneurs in New York metropolis, which is the financial capital of the world to help in the promotion of tourism in Nepal.
Nepali and American tourism entrepreneurs attending the programme said that besides the promotion of adventure and religious tourism in Nepal, the Nepali food could also be promoted as one of the tourist attractions, the Consulate General of Nepal stated.
They suggested publicizing Nepali tourism destinations and products in the American media to increase the number of tourists visiting Nepal.
