Kathmandu . The Kathmandu Police has issued an arrest warrant against former Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police and recently elected member of the House of Representatives from Lalitpur constituency no 1, Nawaraj Silwal.
The warrant is issued, accusing Silwal of forgery of government document.
He is accused of forging the documents of his performance evaluation, which he submitted for the promotion to the Inspector General of Police.
The Supreme Court had issued an order that those involved in forgery in the performance evaluation documents be ascertained and meted out justice.
Following the SC order, the Police filed a case against Silwal at District Court, accusing him of forgery on December 20.
The arrest warrant is issued for the investigation in course of the same case.
