Nationwide reach of information technology stressed

Kathmandu : Various speakers stressed the need to expand nationwide reach of the information technology.
They said this at a programme organized on the occasion of 24th anniversary of the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) in the capital on Friday.
On the occasion, former Minister Ganesh Saha said change is possible in the country only through the advancement of science and technology.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC)’s general secretary Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal said the ICT Campaign has played significant role in the advancement of information and communication while emphasizing on its research and development.
Also speaking on the occasion, Vice-chairperson of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prakash Dhakal expressed readiness of entrepreneurs to work with CAN.
At the programme, former Science and Technology Minister Ganesh Saha and Director General of Information Technology Department Birendra Kumar Mishra were felicitated.
Incepted in 1992, the CAN has been organizing CAN Info-tech Fair since 1995.
