Khotang : Khotang district-based journalists have handed a blank map of the district to the elected parliamentary and provincial members in a symbolic act for the development of the district.
The act was a symbolic pressure on the elected representatives to carry out development activities and bring prosperity to the district, said a journalist.
The outline map of the district was handed amid a programme organised jointly by the Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal in the district on Tuesday.
Journalists affiliated with the Press Chautari and Press Centre also congratulated and extended best wishes to the elected representatives for their successful future tenure.
Receiving the outline map, the elected representatives pledged to seize the opportunity to develop the district.
