Kathmandu : The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has registered a case against Director General at Department of Foreign Employment Biswo Raj Pandey at the special court.
According to CIAA Spokesperson Bishnu Prasad Pokharel, the anti-graft body held Director General Pandey, section officer Kriti Ballav Poudel and non-gazetted first class officer Khadga Bahadur KC on charge of demanding graft of Rs 1 million in connection with the release of license to function of a foreign employment company.
The CIAA has claimed that the Department officials had demanded bribe from the service recipients as the company got release of license which was put on hold by the Department after the Supreme Court verdict.
The CIAA has filed the case demanding stringent action including penalty of Rs 1 million each from the three.
