Leftist Alliance clinches victory in Udayapur-2

Gaighat (Udayapur)  : The Leftist Alliance panel has registered victory in constituency no 2 in Udayapur district in the election to the House of Representatives held on December 7.
According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer in Udayapur district, Alliance’s Suresh Kirati (Himal) received 22,551 votes. His nearest rival Nepali Congress’s Narayan Bahadur Karki conceded defeat with 15,455 votes.
Similarly, Alliance’s Kala Ghale and Narayan Burja Magar have been elected in the Provincial Assembly 1 (A) and 2 (B) from constituency no 2 in the district.
Likewise, Leftist Alliance’s Bimal Karki secured 10,360 votes to be elected in the Provincial Assembly (A) 1 from the constituency no 1. His closest contender Nepali Congress’s Bidur Bahadur Basnet garnered 9,350 votes.
On the contrary, Nepali Congress’s Himal Karki received 12,233 votes to be elected in the Provincial Assembly (B) 2 from the same constituency defeating Leftist Alliance’s Ram Bahadur Thapa whose vote count stood at 11,060.
