CEC Yadav urges to make the election error-free and indisputable

 

Kathmandu : Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has instructed the Election Commission employees to shoulder their responsibility in such a way that the upcoming elections are conducted in an error-free and indisputable manner.
Speaking in the concluding session of a training programme attended by the regional election officials, the district election officials and the Commission’s officers at the Election Commission premises here on Saturday, he said although the management of an election was challenging and difficult job, the election officials should carry out their works in a fair and independent manner internalizing the sensitivity of the voting and the vote counting.
On the occasion, Election Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Shah called for alertness on the part of the District Election Offices to the possibility of the sporadic violation of the election code of conduct despite the Election Commission’s stringent monitoring of the violation of the code.
EC secretary Begendra Raj Sharma Poudyal underpinned the need of mobilization of all resources targeting the coming November 26 and December 7 for meaningful outcome.
The Commission is working to making the voter education effective explaining to the voters that the House of Representatives and the State Assembly elections would take place simultaneously and the voters have to put voting signs on three ballot papers at four places and drop their folded ballot papers in three boxes.
In this connection, the Election Commission had run the principal trainers’ training on voting process and the vote counting.
