NEPSE index posts general rise

Kathmandu : The domestic share market recorded a general improvement today as the Nepal 
Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 4.15 points to close at 172.98 points.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index measuring the trading of ‘A’ class companies posted a 0.61-point rise to sit at 248.74 points. A total of 1,002,107 units of share of 163 companies were traded and the total turnover was Rs 247 million 743 thousand 155.
Two sub-indices, among 11, suffered a fall, however. They are production and manufacturing and life insurance. They went down 31.6 and 27.31 points respectively. Banking (1.41), trade (2.87), hotel (0.21), development banks (6.86), hydropower (31.48), finance (0.79), non life insurance (58.06), others (3.39) and micro finances (12.99) recorded a rise today.
