Minister Pandit has not used extra vehicle, says Ministry

Kathmandu, Nov 6 : The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has said Minister (Federal Affairs and General Administration) Lal Babu Pandit has not used government vehicles by going above the law.

The Ministry, in its response to news reports carried out some media that the minister used extra vehicle, Ministry officiating secretary Suresh Adhikari in a press statement made it a clear that the minister had not used vehicles breaching the law. Two vehicles are officially available for him. Among them one remains parked in the minister’s quarter while he would be using one.
Besides, the under secretary of the minister’s private secretariat and private secretary are using a vehicle each provided by the ministry to them and besides all these four vehicles, no additional vehicle has been used by them.
The ministry further claimed that other resources including vehicles have been appropriately used and in a transparent way. There is no misappropriation of government resources by any ineligible individual and no government vehicle has been used during activities of any political party.
