Lack of federal, provincial laws create difficulty in work execution: NC leader Singh

Kathmandu, Nov 4 : Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh today said lack of federal and provincial laws has created hassles in power sharing and work execution.

Addressing a tea reception organised here by NC’s Kathmandu constituency 1 to exchange best wishes on the occasion of Bada Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat 1139 and Chhath, he stressed the need for the centre to help the provincial level achieve its development and prosperity by empowering it.
Likewise on the occasion, State Assembly member Dipendra Shrestha underscored the need for allocating all power except that relating to monetary, foreign affairs and security to the province.
He also viewed that the allocation of only 32 percent of the total country’s budget would not be enough for the whole development of a province and local level.
Another SA member Rajendra Gurung stressed preservation of festivals and culture of different communities.
