ICC World Cup Trophy taken in Sheetal Niwas

Kathmandu, Oct. 28 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari today enquired about the ICC World Cup Trophy that was taken in Sheetal Niwas. The ICC World Cup Trophy was brought in Nepal on Friday after the Trophy Tour in Bangladesh. On the occasion, President Bhandari expressed her happiness for the Trophy Tour in Nepal.

The Trophy of the ICC World Cup, 2019 to best hosted by England and Wales was kept in Swyambhu on Friday while it was taken to Pokhara on Saturday. Earlier today, the Trophy was kept in public in Chandragiri.
According to ICC Nepal Representative Bhawana Ghimire, the ICC World Cup Trophy would be kept in exhibition at Basantapur on Monday.
Beginning its tour from Dubai, the Trophy travelled to Oman, the United States of America, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh prior to arriving in Nepal. After Nepal, the Trophy will be taken to India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany and finally to England and Wales on February 19, 2019.
According to the ICC, the Trophy Tour would take place not only in countries participating in the tournament, but for the first time will go beyond traditional cricket heartlands and connect with fans in 11 more countries where cricket is growing including Nepal, the USA and Germany.
