Cabinet meeting approves President Bhandari’s visit to Qatar

Kathmandu, Oct 28 : Today's meeting of the Council of Ministers has approved President Bidya Devi Bhandari's upcoming visit to Qatar.

President Bhandari is leaving here for Qatar on a four-day visit to Qatar to begin with October 29 (Monday). Bhandari is going to visit Qatar at the invitation of the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
The visit is aimed at further consolidating the bilateral relations between Nepal and Qatar and bolster cooperation between the two countries, said Minister for Communications, Information and Technology Gokul Banskota.
Furthermore, schedule has it that during the visit, agreements would be made between Nepal and Qatar for exchange of cooperation on health, security, agriculture and livestock development, press and information, shared Minister Banskota.
Moreover, the meeting held at the official residence of Prime Minister at Baluwatar has also decided to relieve Managing Director of the Gorkhapatra Corporation Basanta Prakasg Upadhyay from his responsibility.
Similarly, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Raj Bista has been granted authority to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the behalf of the government of Nepal for the agreement between Nepal and Malaysia regarding Nepali migrant workers to Malaysia.
A signing ceremony of labour pact between Nepal and Malaysia is going to be held on Monday where Minister Bista would sign on behalf of government of Nepal while Malaysian Minister for Human Resources M Kulasegaran from Malaysia’s side.
The meeting of cabinet also decided to publish the guidelines relating to the electronic correspondence management in the government bodies, informed Minister Banskota.
