Country’s image heightens at international level: Foreign Affairs Minister

Kathmandu, Oct 10 : Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Wednesday said Nepal's image in the international level has reached a height with the completion of peace process. He referred to the President of the recently held United National General Assembly referring to Prime Minister of Nepal in his address. "I am glad that Nepal had an opportunity to share changes, big or small, it has achieved so far in a peaceful and original way, at the international level," he said while addressing a welcome programme organised here by Gulmeli Society on the occasion of upcoming Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.

He also shared that a delegation from Sudan has asked Nepal to sponsor or monitor peace talks there, relating to the delegations from Afghanistan and Burma which recently arrived in Nepal to learn peace process from Nepal.
In another context, the minister emphasized festivals to be a way to help unite the society.
Likewise, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista stressed the need for all to come together to prosper the country, calling for all parties, opposition or ruling, to rise above partisan interests.
