Bhaktapur, Oct 2 : Acting Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Dilip Thapamagar has said FNJ was against the fake news. Those writing fake news would be meted out action, he warned.
During an interaction organized on ‘media in citizen’s eye’ here Tuesday, Acting FNJ Chairman Thapamagar urged the media and journalists to write fact-based news.
“FNJ does not accept those who write news under anyone’s influence. However, journalists must not be coward to write fact-based news,” he said, adding that FNJ protests the laws and acts if they tamper with press freedom.
Various other speakers complained that media was misused and was not fair.
