One stadium in each local level: CM Gurung

Pokhara, July 21: Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has announced a plan to construct at least one stadium in each local level of the province within next five years.
In an interaction organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in Gandaki State headquarters, Pokhara, today, CM Gurung stressed the need for developing infrastructures for the advancement of sports sectors.
He further shared that the State government was planning to construct at least one stadium in all 85 local units of the State.
On another note, Chief Minister Gurung noted that the sports sector was important to consolidate national feeling.
Also speaking on the occasion, State Assembly members Man Bahadur Gurung, Deepka Koirala, Bindu Thapa, Ram Prasad Baral, Rajiv Pahadi and Mohan Regmi also spoke for the holistic development of the sports sectors.
Similarly, ANFA chair Karma Chhiring Sherpa urged all three- tiers of the government (federal, state and local) to increase their budgets for sports development.
He also shared that the ANFA was doing ground works to run technical centers in each province.
