Falewas, Parbat, July 14 : Services at the District Hospital have suffered for void in leadership.
The hospital management is without a leadership since the transfer of Chief of the District Public Health Office and the hospital chief Dr Buddhi Bahadur Thapa a month ago. As a result, health services at the hospital and various activities carried out under the health office have been affected.
Even the paper works that have to be completed at the end of the fiscal year has not been done, says public health officer Sajina Maharjan. Though Maharjan has been designated the acting office chief, she does not have the right to authorize financial transaction.
Likewise, the district hospital is suffering a scarcity of doctors, especially with the rise in number of patients coming for treatment of seasonal ailments.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the hospital development committee Radha Kumari Chettri says that the doctor to replace Dr Thapa has been already deputed and will be joining office soon.
