Biratnagar, May 3 : The District Court Morang has begun the recording of statements from the accused in 33 kgs gold smuggling and subsequent murder of one Sanam Shakya.
Registrar at the District Court, Nabaraj Dulal, said that recording of the statements from the accused is on by District Judge Narayan Sharma.
On Thursday, Tekraj Malla Thakuri, Lakpa Sherpa, Madan Prasad Ghimire, Narendra Karki, Rajan Kumar and Mohan Kafle have recorded their statements.
The job of statement recording is ongoing and shall continue on Friday as well. The accused have been charged of running criminal activities, illegal transaction of gold and silver, abduction and murder. The cases have been filed against 29 persons in Morang District Court.
