Develop domestic tourism to bring in foreign tourists: Culture Minister Adhikari

Pokhara, April 20 : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari pointed out the need for developing domestic tourism to attract foreign tourists.

Government’s preparations were on to celebrate Visit Nepal Year, 2020, he informed. “Although the government aims to welcome 1.5 million foreign tourists in 2020, the number may increase to 2 million once good preparations are in place,” he said, while inaugurating the 6th General Convention of the Lions Clubs International District 325 B1 here.
He also praised the Lions Clubs for having involved in rescue and relief distribution following the earthquake of April, 2015.
Likewise, Dhanraj Acharya, district governor of the Lions Clubs, District 325 B1, said the Lions Clubs would contribute more to the society in the days to come. The convention that concludes Saturday will pick a new leadership.
