NC leaders urge leadership to stick to principles

Kathmandu : The leaders speaking during the central working committee meeting of the Nepali Congress have urged the leadership to stick to its principles.

Arguing that the party was still in the forefront in terms of popular votes in the recent elections, they said it was not necessary to be worried much saying the election defeat was a huge setback.

According to party office Chief Secretary Krishna Poudel, the leaders speaking during today’s meeting underscored the need for strengthening the party organization.

Central member Govinda Bhattarai said the discrepancy between the principles and practices of the party must be wiped out to make the party organization intact.

Similarly, Laxmi Pariyar and Dila Sangraula also drew the party’s attention to make the party dynamic.
The meeting was chaired by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and attended by senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Dr Sashank Koirala, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav, and parliamentary party vice leader Bijay Kumar and other central members.
