Indian PM Modi congratulates Oli, invites for India visit

Bhaktapur : Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended congratulation and best wishes to Nepal’s newly appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
In a telephone call at 10.30 PM Thursday, Indian PM Modi expressed his best wishes for the successful tenure of Oli’s premiership and also extended invitation to the new PM for India visit, shared Oli’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari.
PM Modi had also expressed his eagerness to welcome Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli in India, shared Adhikari.
On the occasion, PM Modi also pledged to provide all possible cooperation for the development of Nepal.
In the telephonic conversation, PM Oli told his Indian counterpart that his prime focus would be on the development and prosperity of the country.
PM Oli also noted that he would be effortful to further consolidate friendship with India in coming days, Adhikari informed.
Ambassador Puri at Balkot in mid night
Likewise, Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri reached Prime Minister Oli residence at Balkot on Thursday midnight to extend congratulation and best wishes.
In a message of Indian PM sent to Oli through Ambassador Puri, Modi expressed his hope that Nepal would gain stability, economic development and prosperity under PM Oli leadership.
The message also noted that Indian PM Modi will give high emphasis on further enhancing the age-old relations between Nepal and India being based on trust, goodwill and mutual confidence.
In doing so, India is ready to extend cooperation for the development standing with Nepali people and Nepal government.
Meanwhile, Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj also congratulated PM Oli via phone call on Thursday night.
Likewise, there is queue of high-level people at Oli residence Balkot to extend him congratulations and best wishes for his successful inning as the Prime Minister of the country.
